HARVEST FESTIVAL in Cangas del Narcea

The Rural Apartments El Balcon de Muniellos invite you to participate this week in one of the most typical events of Cangas del Narcea, the Harvest Festival.

This week is the Official Presentation of the VIII Harvest Festival of Cangas del Narcea. The event will take place on Tuesday 6 from October at 21:00 h in the Bodega del Narcea facilities.

Likewise, throughout the weekend, the party will take place through the streets of the town, being able to taste the Wines of the Land of Cangas along with other typical local products. Throughout the days you will be able to enjoy craft markets and performances by regional groups of bagpipes and dance.

The official program of the Harvest Festival is as follows:

Friday 9 October

18:00 h. Round Table on Cangas Wine and Wine Tourism in the Municipal Auditorium.

19:00 h. Official opening of the VIII Harvest Festival in the Plaza de la Oliva. Delivery of the Golden Strain to Luis Pasamontes, as ambassador of the Wine of the Land of Cangas.

Saturday 10 October

11:30 h. Celebration of Religious Acts in the Basilica of Sta. Magdalena, starting the VI Great Chapter of the Cangas Wine Brotherhood. The mass will be sung by the Polyphonic Choir of Cangas del Narcea.

13:00 h. Appointment of new Brothers in the Toreno Theater.

16:30 h. Reception of Brotherhoods in the courtyard of the Town Hall, by the Cangas Wine Brotherhood.

18:00 h. Departure of the parade from the Plaza del Ayuntamiento and staging of a traditional grape treading in the Plaza de la Iglesia. Then traditional espicha and toast to the cachu.

23:00 h. Verbena in the Plaza de la Oliva, enlivened by the musical group ACEBO

Sunday 11 October

V Cangas Harvest Trophy for Skeet Shooting. Gran Racimo de Oro award from the Local Board of Hospitality.

Saturday 31 October

Fair Exhibition of Chestnuts and local products
